Commercials
Our commercial flock is run at "Mundiwa" Brewarrina, with a herd of 3000 ewes in 2010 to lamb, and 4000 by the end of 2011. After this there will be a number of surplus females available to buyers.
Our 2009 wether lambs sold extremely well, with the bulk of the lambs going direct from Mundiwa either as heavy lambs to Melbourne, or were purchased by a feedlot near Adelaide (average input weight 42kg). We were able to market 93% of our lambs direct at 8-9 months of age after putting the sheep through 2 major floods and 3 dust storms. This was not exactly the perfect season for sheep.
